Author Guidelines

Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan publishes original research articles and review articles in the fields of forestry and environmental sciences. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

1. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts in clear and academic English to increase international readership.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following structure:

  • Title

  • Author(s) and affiliation(s)

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Keywords (3–5 words)

  • Introduction

  • Materials and Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgments (if applicable)

  • References

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal template.

  • Paper size: A4

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words (including references)

5. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

  • Captions should be clear and placed above tables and below figures.

  • Images must be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).

6. Citation and References

  • References must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero).

  • At least 80% of references should be from primary sources published within the last 10 years.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Manuscripts must comply with ethical standards and publication ethics.

  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

  • Research involving humans or animals must include ethical clearance information.

8. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with similarity levels exceeding the journal’s acceptable threshold will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

9. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editorial decision will be based on reviewers’ recommendations.

10. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan does not charge any submission or publication fees (No APC).

11. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Authors are required to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts.
